FAQ
>What are the new AQMD rules on wood-burning fireplaces and are there any exceptions?
-The Air Quality Management District (AQMD) has placed into effect new rules prohibiting the installation of *most wood-burning devices, including wood-burning fireplaces, to reduce the emission of particulate matter in our atmosphere. There are a few exceptions to this rule including, but not limited to; pre-existing wood-fireplaces and wood-burning fireplaces with a permanently fixed gas log set, either installed onsite or manufactured into the unit.
